We spent the day traveling from Adventureland to Tomorrowland and everywhere in between during our latest visit to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!
Of course, you can’t get to any of those lands without first setting foot on Main Street, U.S.A. (where folks are sporting a brand new look, if you didn’t know!). So join us, won’t you, as we walk “right down the middle” towards Cinderella Castle and begin to check out everything NEW in the Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom Restaurant Updates
We moseyed on over to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café in Frontierland to check out an update to their Mobile Order process.
While the process of using Mobile Order itself hasn’t changed, the fine folks at the Café have set up an indoor waiting area for guests to wait for the food items that they pre-ordered and pre-paid for via Mobile Order.
Note that we were told by a Cast Member that these indoor waiting areas may not be in place all day long, but the air-conditioned respite is sure to be welcomed when they are!
Check out the Indoor Waiting Areas for Mobile Order Users at Pecos Bill’s here!
Magic Kingdom Attraction Updates
Everyone’s back to making a SPLASH in Magic Kingdom, now that Splash Mountain is back up and running after an unexpected temporary closure earlier in the week.
And that’s especially good news for those who are hoping to ride the attraction before it is closed to be transformed into a new Princess and the Frog themed ride.
Now’s your chance!
See Splash Mountain back in action here!
Of course, the Princess and the Frog ride isn’t the only new attraction on the way to Magic Kingdom…
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
We’re blasting off towards Tomorrowland to visit the construction site of the TRON coaster.
Here’s the latest look!
And if you’d like to take closer one…
Read more about TRON construction here!
(Alas, there are still no people moving on the PeopleMover… just FYI.)
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Emporium
A stop at the Emporium revealed a lot of new goodies, including a BUNCH of new hair accessories! Mickey Balloons can dress up your ‘do on this new headband…
…or you can choose a Luxo Ball headband! Either way, these soft, colorful bands cost $13.99.
New sets of SCRUNCHIES are up for grabs, too! Even though we’re in Magic Kingdom, this animal print set would be especially fitting for a trip to Animal Kingdom!
(And if you’re wondering what’s new over there, you can check it all out with a click right here!)
The Minnie Mouse scrunchie set is complete with a few of Minnie’s signatures… ears, bows, and polka dots!
Both scrunchie sets are $14.99.
And you’ll probably want to tie up your hair as the days are HOT here in Central Florida right now! And that’s where this new Mickey Reusable Water Bottle that we found can come in handy…
Mickey’s many mugs can help you keep your cool by staying hydrated in the heat, no matter where you are.
And we found even more ways to protect yourself from the sun with a couple of new Disney character baseball hats! Will you go “Off to Never Land” with the new Peter Pan baseball hat?
Or is your main goal to become a Jungle Cruise Skipper? (If so, we don’t blame ya!)
Both can be found at the Emporium for $27.99.
Take a closer look at BOTH of the new hats here!
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
And while we’re still in the Most Magical Place on Earth, we’d like to wish you Season’s Greetings!
A little early? Nope, not when it’s Christmas in July! And it’s never too early when you’re at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square where we found some new holiday merchandise! The other side of the pillow pictured above ($34.99) features a festive scene with Santa Mickey paying a visit to some very special pals…
How anybody can sleep when they know SANTA is on his way is beyond me, but it looks like Minnie is managing!
Pluto and Chip ‘n Dale, though? Not so much… 😉
A SUPER plushy Reversible Throw Blanket ($59.99) features the same design.
And even though it’s hovering around 90 degrees right now, this thing looks so cozy I still kind of want to curl up with it!
For now, we’re saying “See Ya Real Soon” from Disney World’s Magic Kingdom! And if you’re wondering what’s new at other Disney World parks…
