After experiencing some delay, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is set to reopen on November 1st, 2020.
Much like most of the reopened Disney World resorts, Art of Animation will be hosting modified experiences and some limited amenities. In addition to the enhanced health and safety protocols, the main pool will be under refurbishment early next year. Let’s take a look at the dining options that will be available upon reopening and the Big Blue Pool refurbishment schedule!
Disney has scheduled a handful of resort refurbishments including the entryway and guest rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the iconic clown pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. The Big Blue Pool will also get a little TLC in the next few months. The pool will be closed from January 11th, 2021 through early April 2021. While the large pool is closed, the Flippin’ Fins Pool, Cozy Cone Pool, and the Schoolyard Sprayground will still be available during this time.
The Big Blue Pool will be opening with the resort on November 1st. Disney has also announced the dining, shops, recreation activities, and transportation that will be available upon reopening.
- Ink & Paint Shop
- Poolside Activities
- Movies Under the Stars
- Bus transportation is available from this Disney Resort hotel to the Disney theme parks and the Disney Springs area
- Disney Skyliner aerial gondolas are available to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT
When The Big Blue Pool goes under construction, noise from the work should not be heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00AM. We’ll be back to give you more updates regarding Disney World resorts real soon!
