After Disney World’s reopening, the resort has been continuing to adjust its standard operating procedures to better accommodate guests, as well as to stay in line with current health and safety guidelines.

This is especially true for smaller shops and restaurants at Disney World that can present challenges for maintaining social distance. Disney, though, continues to rise to those challenges.
We noticed some of these changes recently at BoardWalk Bakery located on Disney’s BoardWalk — there’s a brand new set-up for the refillable mug station there. There’s new signage out front directing guests to the line for beverage refills on the right.

Directional arrows and social distancing markers indicate where guests should wait to get their mugs refilled.

More new signage indicates that this line is ONLY for mobile order pick-up or beverage refills.

Once inside, the line will lead to the Refillable Mug Station, which is blocked off. Guests cannot refill their own mugs — a Cast Member will do it for them.

This set-up began earlier this week and the location is working to find the best way to keep guests socially distanced during refills. This is a small space, but the new set-up seems to be working! As always, we’ll let you know about any other changes we find around Disney World, too!
