We’re HOPPIN’ into the New Year, my friends…because Park Hopping returns to the Walt Disney World theme parks as of today!

Park Hopping is the option to visit more than one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks per day. The program was suspended upon the initial reopening of the Walt Disney World parks in the summer of 2020. But now, guests who have purchased valid park tickets that include Park Hopper benefits can start their day in, say, Magic Kingdom, then HOP to EPCOT (or Hollywood Studios! Or Disney’s Animal Kingdom!) later in the day!

Before we start hopping, here are a few friendly reminders, since Park Hopping is returning with a few changes to the program.

Reminder One

Guests are still required to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the FIRST PARK they plan to visit during the day. Though you do NOT need to make a Park Pass reservation for the park you plan to visit next. But you DO need to enter the park for which you reserved a Park Pass before you “hop” elsewhere.

The ability to Park Hop, upon its initial reinstallment, will begin at 2PM daily. Disney has already shared that this may change moving forward, so keep an eye on Disney World’s Park Hours page or the My Disney Experience app to identify the Park Hopper Hours for each day.

Park Hopping to each park will still be limited by the parks’ capacity limitations in keeping with current safety measures.

This morning, we spotted a new pop-up in the My Disney Experience app that gives us a little reminder about the return of park hopping. But, so far today, that’s the only change to the app that has to do with park hopping.
