Welcome back! We’re here with another What’s New at Downtown Disney!
It’s been a busy week so we’ve got plenty of dining, construction, and merchandise updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s jump right on in!
Downtown Disney Food Update
Outdoor Dining
The state of California lifted the stay-at-home order meaning that outdoor dining could return. Therefore, active eating and drinking are allowed again at Downtown Disney as long as guests are stationary and physically distanced. Because of this, MANY Downtown Disney restaurants (though not all) have reopened under the new health and safety measures! Here’s a break down of all the restaurants that returned this week.
Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District’s first on-site brewery welcomed guests back this week! Now you can stop in and try some of their seasonally-inspired menu items Monday-Thursday 11AM-8PM, Friday-Saturday 10AM-9PM, and Sundays 10AM-8PM.
UVA Bar and Cafe reopened with outdoor dining on January 30th. Enjoy some sunshine and grab one of their delicious burgers Monday-Thursday from 12PM-8PM and Saturday-Sunday 11AM-8PM.
Tortilla Jo’s also returned on January 30th with similar hours. The upbeat Mexican restaurant is now open weekly Monday-Thursday 12PM-8PM and Saturday and Sunday 11AM-8PM.
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen & Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen Express
Both Louisiana restaurants have reopened in Downtown Disney for lunch and dinner. If you’d like to eat at the restaurant for a sit-down meal, you can now make a reservation, or you can grab the goods to go at the express kitchen daily.
Naples Ristorante e Bar reopened on January 30th bringing southern Italy flavors back to the center of Downtown Disney. You can now stuff your face with all of the classic Italian dishes served straight from traditional wood-fired ovens Monday-Thursday 12PM-8PM and Saturday and Sunday 11AM-8PM.
Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes
Black Tap is another restaurant joining the list of those that have reopened. The throwback-style eatery is open Sunday-Thursday 12PM-8PM and Friday-Saturday 12PM-9PM so you can grab a burger and milkshake everyday of the week!
If you’re a fan of the many sandwiches and meals served at Earl of Sandwich, you can now stop by the reopened location and get your fix. The restaurant is now open Sunday-Thursday 10AM-8PM and Friday-Saturday 10AM-9PM. But do be sure to double check the hours before you head over.
And, lastly, the popular smoothie spot, Jamba, has reopened. You can now stop by and order some fresh-squeezed juice and a variety of bowls and sandwiches.
Dining locations along Buena Vista Street will join the list of reopened restaurants at Disneyland Resort on Friday, February 5th. Though, a variety of dining locations at Downtown Disney do still remain closed including both Starbucks locations, La Brea Bakery Cafe, Tortilla Jo’s Taqueria, Catal Restaurant, and Splitsville. We’re not sure when these restaurants will reopen so stay tuned!
Downtown Disney Construction Update
Star Wars Trading Post
This week, Disney announced that the intergalactic shop, Star Wars Trading Post will opening in a new location on February 19th. The new shop will be themed as a hidden jungle Resistance base and you’ll even pass by Rey’s speeder as you enter! The former location of Rainforest Cafe is expected to be the new home of the trading post and the exterior is already starting to be decorated in the style.
When the location opens later this month, galactic travelers will find odds and ends from the many planets of Star Wars including the Paddy Frog Light-Up Sipper and the new Baby Yoda inspired Streetwear Collection.

Gone Hollywood
When we were passing by, we noticed that Gone Hollywood has closed its doors indefinitely. The store was previously being used for overflow during the holidays and on busier weekends when stores were capped at 20% capacity.
We chatted with a Cast Member about the closure and they shared that no information has been shared about when the location may reopen.
Downtown Disney Merchandise Update
Buena Vista Street
It’s February at Disneyland Resort and that means that love is in the air (LITERALLY!). We spotted new Mickey balloons joining the colorful signature bundle. The Valentine’s Day balloons featuring a pink balloon tucked inside a clear balloon. And, the iconic duo, Mickey and Minnie, are on the balloon with their hands forming a heart among other hearts and flowers for the season.
We spotted these babies in Disney California Adventure in the small alcove leading the way towards the upcoming Avengers Campus for $10.
