Why, hello there!! We’re flying into Disney’s Animal Kingdom to bring YOU what’s NEW!
A double-doozy of a holiday weekend in Disney World — with Valentine’s Day on Sunday and Presidents’ Day on Monday — sure brought the peeps to the parks! And we spotted a few extra snacking spots open to feed the crowds, along with some FUN new merchandise!
Are you ready? Let’s GO!!!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Yak & Yeti Quality Beverages
It has definitely been a minute since we’ve seen the beverage window — Yak & Yeti Quality Beverages — open in Animal Kingdom’s Asia.
But the increased holiday crowds delivered the need for some extra eats and more ways for guests to quench their thirst.
It was good to see the spot open since it’s one of the places where you can grab a Yak Attack — that’s a mango Daiquiri made with Don Q Cristal Rum and enhanced with wildberry flavors.
This sip goes way back, and it’s an Animal Kingdom classic. Cheers!
And over in DinoLand, U.S.A., things were even poppin’ at the rarely-open Corn-Ivores Popcorn Cart, too!
This is a good thing, since the line was winding well past Sue, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, for the DINOSAUR attraction. (It’s Fast! It’s a Blast! It’s in the PAST!)
So it’s a need to have more snacking options for fueling up to “Find our DINO!”
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
And did you hear THE NEWS about THE SHOES?!
Disney has partnered with Native Shoes to offer a stylish AND eco-friendly collection of lightweight shoes with a Keds-like style and Crocs-like material.
We first spotted them as we were browsing Riverside Depot on Discovery Island.
And there it is! A short and sweet update from Disney’s Animal Kingdom! That said, I could still use a nap after that trek… looks like our friend on the Majarajah Jungle Trek can, too…
