PHOTOS AND VIDEO! EPCOT’s Entrance Area Just Got a Very Cool Final Touch

EPCOT is looking pretty snazzy today!

Not only is one of the most beautiful festivals kicking off with EPCOT Flower and Garden, but the entrance area of the park near Spaceship Earth has REALLY come into its own lately. Now, Imagineers are celebrating the transformation with a special finishing touch.

When we arrived at EPCOT today, we noticed the addition of 12 new flags (six designs, two of each) on flagpoles flanking Spaceship Earth as we entered the park.

The flags feature original EPCOT icons that represent the pavilions and attractions.

According to Imagineer Zach Riddley on Instagram, the flags are part of the finishing touches on the new entrance plaza.

In addition, the area has a whole new main entrance soundtrack and we got to give it a listen as we walked in! What do ya think?

Finally, Riddley also noted that a color-coordinated light ribbon around the entire rim of the plaza will be debuted tonight to go with the lighting on the fountain — and maybe the upcoming lighting changes on Spaceship Earth too!
