How are we ever going to be able to pick our favorites from this festival!?
Well, it isn’t easy, but we’ll do it for you! We’re eating our way around the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival and can we just say, good thing we wore our eating pants. We’ve already stopped by Pineapple Promenade, Trowel and Trellis, and MORE, and now we’re making our way to the China Pavilion for another BOOTH REVIEW!
We’re bringing you a review of Lotus House and we’re pretty darn excited to give these eats a taste.
Did you know this booth has not one but TWO returning best of the fest items from last year?!
Menu
The menu at Lotus House features Chinese dishes with some springtime flair.
Get ready for some creative dishes and even more creative drinks. Let’s dive in and see what we can taste!
Food
First up, there’s actually one new item at the booth this year: Papa Cakes! This item is Potato Cakes filled with Shrimp and Water Chestnuts served with House-made Strawberry Sauce for $7.95.
The description of this dish was a little confusing, but we LOVED it! The levels of texture are amazing. You’ve got a little sogginess where the strawberry meets the breading, soft potato, the snap of shrimp, and crunch of water chestnuts. This really is a complete dish.
One returning best of the fest item is the Bon Bon Chicken Skewer with Sesame and Peanut Sauce for $6.75. This eat is a DELIGHT. It’s a small portion but boy, does it pack flavor!
Also returning this year are the House-made Crab and Cheese Wontons for $6.95. Is it possible to not like fried wontons stuffed with crab and cheese? We’re not sure.
And what are we washing it all down with?

Drinks
There are four returning drinks at this booth this year! This includes the “Panda” Bubble Tea (Classic Milk Tea with Black and White Boba Pearls) for $7.50…
…the Jasmine Draft Beer ($6 oz for $5 or 12 oz for $8.50)…
…and the Kung Fu Punch (Vodka, Triple Sec, Mango Syrup, Orange Juice, and Soda Water) for $11.
The fourth returning drink is our other returning best of the fest item! We’re big fans of the Marco Boba, made with Amaretto, Iced Coffee, Milk, and Boba. These flavors are pretty classicly delicious and you can try it for yourself for $12.50.
AND there’s a NEW drink this year with the Tang Dynasty for $13. This cocktail is made with Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila Gold, Light Rum, Strawberry Syrup, Piña Colada Mix, White Boba Pearls, and Soda Water. You can really taste the strawberry in this drink! It’s an easy sip with lovely flavor — we’re just not the biggest fans of the white boba.
That being said, it is a lovely cocktail, and if boba fans will especially love!
Overall
We can certainly get behind the Lotus House’s eats this year. Will any of the items make THIS year’s best of the fest? You’ll have to wait and see! In the meantime, keep following along as we eat our way around the WHOLE fest!
