It’s been about a few years since we first learned that EPCOT would be getting its OWN version of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the France Pavilion!
This ride was originally supposed to open in summer 2020, but due to the global health crisis, the construction and opening date were delayed. We have seen a lot of work being done on the ride and the France pavilion’s expansion. Last year, Disney shared that the ride would be opening in 2021, and now we FINALLY have an official opening date!!
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is now set to open in EPCOT on…October 1st, 2021!
That October 1st date might sound familiar to you because it actually marks the start of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations. We’ve already gotten a peek at some of the other celebrations coming to the 50th Anniversary celebrations, and now it seems we’ll be able to enjoy Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at that time as well.
And it looks like Remy and the Disney World Cast Members are getting ready to welcome guests for the October opening!
Just Announced! Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open at EPCOT on Oct. 1, 2021 to help kick off the opening season of the @WaltDisneyWorld Resort 50th Anniversary celebration. Get more details on the Disney Parks Blog: https://t.co/ZZydSZ3IpY #DisneyWorld50 pic.twitter.com/cI7OU9TyX4

Previously, Imagineers shared a behind-the-scenes look at the ride and discussed how there will even be 4-D effects in the attraction like water, wind, and even scents!
The ride will be family-friendly with no height requirement, so everyone can enjoy the ride together. You can check out another video with another look at the upcoming ride HERE. We can’t wait to ride this new attraction and get a full look at the entire expansion area.

I wouldn’t call oct 1st soon.
That’s about 7 months away. A lot can happen in 7 months. Actually kinda horrible they are waiting this long. Being the fact that it was supposed to open last year . I’m really disappointed in the failure of their excellence. They are becoming more like universal every day. A place I would not like to visit.
Austin says
Is there any chance that they will do a soft opening and let patrons start riding before October? I was hoping there would be a soft opening by mid-April.
Tyler Rosenquist says
Smart move, a consolation prize for everyone who can’t get into MK for the 50th anniversary!
Paul Lanphear says
Disappointing! Everything I’ve read says it’s finished. Didn’t they post a video of someone test riding it a few weeks ago? I was really hoping it would be open by this summer. They’ll probably hold off on Harmonious til Oct also.
PBR says
Yeah this is really frustrating. The ride appears to be ready as they have shot commercials and people are allow to walk through the pavilion. I get the 2020 messed a lot of things up, but I guess this is the only new thing they will have to offer for their 50th Anniversary
Nicole Fink says
Man! I was hoping for a June opening!!
Kenuestion of says
Great, but I don’t understand why the big wait. We have already seen the ride at Disney Paris. Let’s go….
DFB Sarah says
Austin, well, I wouldn’t think they’d have a soft opening quite so far from the actual opening, but we’ll be checking and updating.
DFB Sarah says
Stefan, I would concur that October isn’t soon. I’ll revisit the article.
AG says
This really annoys me. The ride is done and just sitting there. Why wait when all of the people who are going to the parks now, when they need people, can be enjoying it. Bad show Disney!
Amy H says
Dumb to wait! Why does everything have to be Oct 1st. I get thats the anniversary date, but why can the celebration and things like this start before Oct 1st. Usually things start the year “of” the celebration, not on the actual date and after. Way to let people down. Such a disappointment Disney!!!!
mary Bulmer says
Crazy to wait until October when it will be mega busy already due to the MK celebration .
Come on Disney if its ready get it open why wait it makes absolutely no sense
Change your mind about the opening date every one would be thrilled
