The sale of Disney World Annual Passes has been suspended for quite a while now.
And although guests can buy them on 2 VERY specific conditions, most people who want a pass have been unable to purchase. This morning, though, there was a glitch on the U.K. Disney site that made it SEEM like you could snag an Annual Pass.
When we visited the U.K. Disney site, we noticed an option to add the Platinum Annual Pass to our cart. Previously, this page wouldn’t load at all — visitors to the site couldn’t see pass options or prices. What could be goin’ on?
So of course, we investigated! We threw the Platinum Pass in our cart, and the site let us select the number of passes we wanted.
We were even able to hit Add to Cart!
Now, that did take a couple of tries. One time, when we hit Add to Cart we got an error message instead. But we persisted!
We were able to put in ALL our info to check out and were given the good ol’ Woody loading page.
Okay, now here’s where the glitch REALLY kicks in. Just when you think you’re good to go, that Woody loading page switched over to this unfortunate error message. And ya know the drill: since Stitch ate the page, you’ll be unable to go any further with your purchase.
Moral of the story: Annual Passes are still NOT for sale. We’re not sure what caused this glitch to pop up — and on the U.K. site in particular — but no matter how many times you try, you’ll keep gettin’ that Stitch error message. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the Annual Pass situation and let you know if anything changes. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
