We spend a LOT of time in Disney World!
And that means we’re here to tell you every little change that we spot in the parks. Over the past few days, we’ve been popping into Disney’s Animal Kingdom and now we’ve got an update on everything NEW in food, construction, and merchandise.
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Pongu Pongu
First up, we’ve got some food updates to check out. We noticed an interesting change when we headed over to Pongu Pongu to snag a Pineapple Lumpia.
The queue for the quick-service spot was being routed into a backstage area! We’ve seen this happen with attractions like Na’vi River Journey, but it was a bit of a surprise to see it for a dining location.

Isle of Java
Over at Isle of Java, we got to try a St. Patrick’s Day beverage and this one is a total win for coffee lovers. Did someone say boozy cup o’ joe? Yep, it’s an Irish Coffee!
The Irish Coffee is available for $12 and is a Joffrey’s Coffee with Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, Whipped Cream, and Shamrock Sprinkles.

Restaurantosaurus
Speaking of St. Patrick’s Day specialties, we were SO happy to find a whole new kind of LOADED TOTCHOS over at Restaurantosaurus. Take a look at the St. Patrick’s Day Reuben Totchos for $7.29!
This eat is Crispy Potato Barrels Loaded with Nacho Cheese, Sauteed Corn Beef, Sauerkraut, Thousand Island Dressing, and Crunch Rye Croutons. Yum!

Royal Anandapur Tea Company
Last up on the food front, the Joffrey’s location at Royal Anandapur Tea Company had a new Toasted Coconut Donut for $4.99.
Unfortunately, the Donut topped with Vanilla Icing and Coconut Shavings really just had more standard vanilla flavor than anything else.

Animal Kingdom Construction Updates
Raya and the Last Dragon Sand Sculpture
We thought that the Raya and the Last Dragon Sand Sculpture was complete in Discovery Island, but we noticed some work had begun again now that the film has been released.
It appears that some more characters from the film are being added!
Over the past few days, we were able to snag a few progress pictures and we spot Little Noi, Tong, and Boun coming together!
Kilimanjaro Safaris
We noticed a small change at Kilimanjaro Safaris. The FastPass+ sign was gone! We’re not sure what this means, but it may just be routine maintenance.
Pandora
Over in Pandora, we noticed that one of the waterfalls was streaming off of the floating mountains again after a few days of not running.
Na’vi River Journey
Nearby, we took a spin on Na’vi River Journey and noted that plexiglass had been added to one of the boats.
This attraction has had one of the most consistently long lines in all of Disney World over the past weeks so plexiglass could help to alleviate some of the wait times.

Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Serka Zong Bazaar
And lastly, let’s take a look at merchandise! The Expedition Everest gift shop, Serka Zong Bazaar, was host to a BUNCH of new Expedition Everest 15th Anniversary merchandise.
We’re talking t-shirts, sweatshirts, throw blankets, and more! Plus, much of it features our favorite Himalayan monster — the yeti!

The visit after the one where we spotted the first batch of Everest merchandise, we found the Expedition Everest Yeti Spirit Jersey for $69.99.
This snuggly top is so cute! If you haven’t spotted it yeti (Sorry!), you might want to hurry! Special Spirit Jerseys like this one can go quickly.

Riverside Depot
Riverside Depot had a new item too! You can snag the Country Bear Jamboree MagicBand for $29.99. Yep, the Country Bears are FINALLY getting the MagicBand representation they deserve!
We also spotted this MagicBand over at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom.

Brian Hester says
Ok, now I’m concerned. Another Disney blog reported a guest noticed the FastPass + sign at Magic Mountain is gone, too. Can you confirm that and see if any others are suddenly gone? One or two could be coincidental maintenance, but more could be troubling. Crossing fingers.
DFB Sarah says
Brian, we’ll report if we see more. I’ll share your info with the team as well.
