Walt Disney Imagineering is the brains behind all your favorite rides in the parks.
And lately, there’s been some changes goin’ on among the team! You may have heard that Imagineer Joe Rohde retired this year after 40 years with the company. And just a few days ago, the President of Walt Disney Imagineering got a new title and job description — according to his Linkedin profile, at least. Now, another Imagineer is getting a new title.
Barbara Bouza was named the President of Business Operations, Design & Delivery for Walt Disney Imagineering last summer. Now, according to her Linkedin profile, she is the President of Business Management, Design, and Development.
Barbara has over 25 years of management, design, and strategic planning experience under her belt. She writes on her profile that her new position involves working “collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to design, develop, and execute projects for Disney.” That includes its theme parks, hotels, cruise ships, dining, and more!
Barbara and her team of Imagineers are working on TONS of exciting new projects, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, TRON: Lightcycle Run, Avengers Campus, and more. We wonder what all these changes in the team could mean for future projects — we’ll keep ya posted as we learn more! We can’t wait to see what they’ll come up with next. As always, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.
