Review: A BaseLine Tap House Margarita Just Got a Serious Upgrade in Hollywood Studios!

Yep, we were indeed at BaseLine Tap House just a few days ago checking out the new BaseLine Bundle (which, BTW, basically helps you score a FREE souvenir cup, in case you missed it!).

And we’re already back… for starters, because we love it here! But also because we noticed yet another menu update as we spotted the new BaseLine Select Margarita up for grabs today! So, how about joining us for a little Margarita Monday in Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Let’s check it out…

The BaseLine Select Margarita features Patrón Añejo Tequila, Cointreau, sweet-and-sour, and lime juice. (You’ll see it listed under the California Sunset cocktail.)

And it’s that Patrón Añejo Tequila that makes all the difference!

While the flavor itself isn’t much different from your standard marg, you can absolutely taste and appreciate the use of the better tequila.

That’s in comparison to, say, the Exotic Margarita that used to reside at BaseLine which featured Patrón Silver, as pictured below.

Back to the NEW sip! Overall, the BaseLine Select Margarita is smooth, with a nice barrel flavor presenting a slight smokiness. It’s simply delicious.

At $16.00, there’s no way around it — it’s pricey. But here’s the thing: the Cosmo on Tap in Toy Story Land, as just one example, will run you $13.00 and it’s just… okay (and really, not at all memorable). For just 3 bucks more, the BaseLine Select Margarita gets our vote, even over the enjoyable Sunshine Margarita which you’ll find at the Market, when you consider the quality of the new drink.

Now, if you’re simply looking for a fun vacation cocktail in the parks, then you don’t need to splurge on this one, by any means. There’s no shortage of sips in the Studios, as we’ve established! But if you’re looking for a nicer margarita offering something more than a tequila with a simple hot bite, then we think THIS ONE’S your answer! CHEERS!
