Amy says
Ugh! I wanted to go Labor Day weekend to enjoy Food & Wine before all the craziness, but am super disappointed at the number of booths not opening till Oct. 1st!
DAVID PERKINS says
So upset. Booked to go late September into October to enjoy both the Food & Wine and the 1st days of the MK Anniversary. Now I have to choose one or the other.
WTH, They start halloween in august now and decide to delay the F&W?!?!
DFB Sarah says
David, the Food and Wine Festival begins July 15; just nine booths aren’t opening until October 1. So you should be able to get most of the F&W experience alongside your 50th anniversary experience.
Barbara a Kotte says
yes it is only 9 booths closed till Oct 1 but they are some of the best ones to try others open before then are good but wont go till all are open and why aren’t they open till then anyway
very disappointed
please rethink this and open them all so we can get our moneys worth with the ticket prices so hi
Lisa G says
I’m bummed that there aren’t any special tastings or any food/wine education events this year.
Dana Barry says
The Alps, Belgium, Brazil, Ireland and Spain happen to be favorites of my wife and I. Throw in new booths The Lobster Landing and Mac and Eats and the makes 7 booths we were looking forward to enjoying while in Disney mid August. We both don’t think it’s right or fair for Disney to withhold these booths until October 1st.
Really wish they would come to there senses and re-consider.
April says
It looks like at least some of the booths are involved in the Cheese Crawl, so our late-Sept tix won’t let us play that one. grrr.
DFB Sarah says
April, I’m not sure what you mean, I’m sorry. All five booths in the Fromage Montage open with the Festival on July 15.
Robert Snyder says
Oct 9th fine for me my better half turns 65! 48 years and counting!
Rob says
Yeah, I agree with Dana; I just don’t see the point in waiting to open these select booths. I am sure there is some reason because it just seems odd; maybe they were just thinking it would add some magic to Epcot for the 50th. That seems to be the focus, and to heck with us summer travelers, as long as everything is ready for Oct 1st. I am hoping something big drops for August because they still won’t let me add fireworks to my plans, the month is still grayed out for that, and the hours of operation are still set at 9pm when currently MK is 11pm and Epcot 10pm!!! Just hoping something is coming; otherwise, why are we getting gypped in August???
Max says
Why they don’t open all the stands at the same time why why
Ella says
I agree with many others. We booked mid-September to take advantage of FWF and it feels like we’re getting a lesser experience. I understand opening Remy’s and other things to celebrate the anniversary, but this just feels forced and ridiculous. Some of us want all that FWF has to offer without the absurd crowds of post-50th anniversary. They keep finding more ways to chip away at experiences we’ve come to love.
