Lots of things have changed in Disney World recently.
Fully vaccinated Cast Members are no longer required to wear masks when working indoors or outdoors, fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear masks in most locations in Disney World, pre-shows are back in many spots, and even single rider lines are becoming available again. Today we spotted ANOTHER change that has been made, specifically with regards to Cast Members taking guest photos!
Throughout Disney World’s reopening, PhotoPass photographers have been taking guests’ photos but Cast Members have not been able to hold a guest’s phone or other device to take a photo using the guest’s own device. That, however, seems to have now changed.
This morning, we spotted Cast Members taking photos of guests with those guests’ own devices. So it seems Cast Members are once again able to hold a guest’s phone or camera to take photos of that guest when asked.
We expect more changes will continue to be made regarding Disney World’s distancing policies and more over the coming weeks and months as more distancing measures are reduced. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we find.

6/26/2021 – My wife and I just wanted to thank you for all your tips leading up to our WDW vacation. Did everything go according to plan…..oh heck no, but because we planned for the unexpected to happen, we knew how to adjust accordingly, and go with the flow.
We stayed at a WDW friendly neighbor, the Hilton Lake Buena Vista Palace, and hit Sea Wirld, and the 4 WDW parks the first few days and relaxed poolside the rest of the time here.
True to form, Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain broke down , but only right after we rode them.
Miracle of all miracles: we made it on the que for Rise if the Resistance…..woohoo!!!
Thank you again for all your info and advice!

Disney is let the Cast members use customers phones to take pictures . Great Idea make it more normal and people need help to take pictures at times .
I no longer support disney.
