We know it’s fall in Magic Kingdom when all those colorful decorations appear on Main Street, U.S.A.
Disney decorates for the holidays a little bit early, but we’re not complaining. We love to see the pumpkins, wreaths, and banners go up. What we WEREN’T expecting, though, was to see some decorations come DOWN today. That’s right — a staple fall decoration was missing from Magic Kingdom today!
One of the most classic fall decorations in Disney World is the Mickey pumpkin, which you can usually find inside the fall wreaths on Main Street light posts.
But today, while we were walking down Main Street, U.S.A., we noticed that all the Mickey pumpkins were gone. They’d all been replaced by the Cinderella’s Carriage pumpkins that we spotted a few weeks ago near the Castle.
These Cinderella pumpkins are a new addition, in honor of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
They were just in the Hub area before, near the Cinderella Castle, but now they’ve taken over more of the park, including by the exit to the Magic Kingdom.
There’s not a Mickey pumpkin to be found in Magic Kingdom right now. You can still see some at the Toll Plaza and we will let you know if they show up elsewhere.
We’re not sure how we feel about this change. The Cinderella pumpkins are really pretty, and they’re fun to have around for the 50th Anniversary. But we’re really going to miss the iconic Mickey pumpkins! We’ll keep our fingers crossed that they reappear on Main Street next year.

I think I liked the Mickey wreath better. I do love the fall colors of both but I love Mickey just a little bit better then Cinderella coach.
Donna Miller says
Definitely prefer the Mickey Pumpkins. Why can’t these people leave tradition alone?
Melanie Durham says
I think they are absolutely beautiful! I do miss and love the Mickey wreaths, but these Cinderella coach wreaths are a gorgeous touch!

Bringing my grans this fall and sad no Mickey pumpkin wreaths! The new wreaths are blah! Not too exciting for the little ones 🙁 🙁

This is going to be our first trip in the fall and was totally looking forward to taking some photos of those Mickey wreaths. Soooo disappointed. These Cinderella ones are just blah. They should have kept some of the Mickey ones and added touches of the 50th version around the park instead of getting rid of the iconic Mickey signs of fall.

get a grip people the new pumpkins are for the 50th anniversary. they will be back when this is done. they are beautiful and go with the rest of the 50th decor. as for the grans- they will love them if they actually see them and they have a lifetime to go back and see the mickey ones later. don’t stress. have fun. there are plenty of other mickey mouse to keep the kiddies happy. wish we could go down but our borders are still closed.

I love the Cinderella pumpkin coach wreaths! Very tasteful with a clever touch!

I like them. They are a nice change from the same decorations year after year. What we have learned is that, no matter what WDW does, someone will complain about it. Even something as small as a few pumpkin decorations. I like that they are at least putting in an effort to change things up a bit for the 50th. If they didn’t do anything, people would complain about that.
