Extra Theme Park Hours are coming back! Select Disney World guests will soon be able to enjoy both Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours in a new format.
Today, Disney World had a soft open of one of their new Extra Theme Park Hours programs!
Starting today, ALL Disney World resort guests can head into the Disney World parks 30 minutes before their official opening time! This Early Theme Park Entry service is available for guests at ALL of the Disney resorts as well as a selection of resorts on Disney World property (see the full list here!).
At each park, a selection of rides will be available. However, hit rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom, Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT, Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be available during Early Theme Park Entry, along with many other rides.
Early Theme Park entry will soon be joined by Extended Evening Hours in October, which will give guests at Deluxe Resorts and Villas extra time inside parks on select dates!
We’re always keeping up with the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!

Thank you for the update! Do you know how Early Theme Park Entry will work for guests of other approved hotels (ex. Swan, Dolphin, etc.) who cannot link their hotel reservations to their Magic Bands or My Magic +? Will we need to show a room key? Thank you!
Any ideas of when the parking lots will open for early morning entry?
I don’t even know why this is worthy of talking about. Thirty minutes early is not going to make any difference. They should make all extra magic hours available to all resort guests.
Matt, my understanding is that you can link a Swan/Dolphin reservation in My Disney Experience, but if you can’t, I think you will need to show some proof of your reservation, yes. I would recommend bringing your room key if you can’t link the stay.
Scott – we were there on Monday, driving to MK from POP and were held at the toll both until 7:30a.m. Parked, then had to wait in the security line at the TTC until 7:55 before they started letting people through. Then waited for the monorail to fill. We arrived at MK at 8:08 AM and people they were letting everyone in at that point. I think the bus, if staying on property, maybe the best bet to ensuring you can maximize your early access time for MK that is. Other parks may be different.
We will stay at the Yacht Club. Can early entry be done at the back end of Epcott?
Renee, yes!
