There have been several big changes in EPCOT over the last few weeks that we’ve eagerly waited for! The month of September brought the long-awaited opening of Space 220, and we’ve been enjoying checking out the newly expanded France Pavilion with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Crêperie de Paris!

Tonight, however, all eyes are on World Showcase Lagoon as we finally get to see the brand-new nighttime spectacular, Harmonious!
Harmonious officially takes the place of EPCOT Forever, the previous fireworks show that ran after Illuminations: Reflections of Earth concluded its historic twenty-year run in EPCOT. In recent weeks, we’ve seen a few different sneak peeks from Disney, including a first listen at what seems to be an INCREDIBLE soundtrack from Harmonious. Tonight is the first night we were able to see this brand new show — let’s check it out (More than anything, we were excited to finally see those giant barges floating on World Showcase Lagoon in full action!).
We arrived prior to the start of the show and were greeting by lots of fans who also wanted to be a part of EPCOT history!

From the Japan Pavilion to the Norway Pavilion, EPCOT was not short on crowds!

Cast Members did a great job making sure things ran smoothly, with designated walkways added around World Showcase.

There are moments in the show where the buildings around World Showcase are illuminated, as they have in previous nighttime spectaculars at EPCOT.
So pretty!
And, of course, there are fireworks.

Any tips on best locations to view the new Harmonious show?!
Interesting, but I have to question if it was worth it. To give up the daytime view across the lagoon from one country across to another is a very high price to pay. I always thought that the Epcot illuminated world in the center with the flame was awesome, then add the best fireworks display in the world, and that is very hard to top. I would rather have the view and less steel in the middle of the pond. Oh well
Harmonious is colorful, well choreographed, and hits all the multicultural buttons for EPCOT audiences. But the fireworks are tame, pizzazz is lacking, and it falls short on the all important “big finish “
Abby, the views are decent from Mexico, Norway, and Canada — basically anywhere without a treeline will give you a good look at the show.
