Could a Disney World Permit Hint at a SECRET New Show in EPCOT?

If you’ve been to EPCOT lately, you’ve probably noticed a few construction walls.

That’s because the massive EPCOT Transformation is still underway! Part of that transformation sees the center section of Future World turned into World Celebration. We’ve already experienced the new Creations Shop and Club Cool, but what else will this area hold?

Well, we recently spotted a few building permits that might hint at what else is to come for this central EPCOT area. Could we see shows of some kind here in the future? Maybe!

The first permit we spotted was to “Fabricate and install show set items” at the former Innoventions building that now houses Creations Shop and Club Cool. The permit is with a contractor called Icarus Exhibits that has done theming work for Walt Disney Imagineering in the past.

An accompanying permit for the same location called for “Installation of lighting hardware” from InterAmerica Stage Inc., another contractor Disney uses regularly.

Basically, Disney World Imagineers are installing the lights and set items for something, but what could it be? As of now, Disney has not announced and specific shows or attractions in or around the Creations Shop building.

It’s possible that the new installations are for a specific show or attraction or they might just be a general setup for World Celebration. After all, shows used to happen pretty often by Fountain of Nations in the same area.

Construction

The permit also doesn’t specify whether the set elements are for INSIDE the building or outside. Another possibility is that it is for theming on the exterior of the building and a light system that goes along with Spaceship Earth’s lighting.
