Over the past few months, we’ve seen virtual queues used at everything from hit attractions in Disney World to a popular cookie shop at Disney Springs.

But more recently we’ve started to see the use of virtual queues being discontinued at select spots. Not too long ago, Disney paused the use of virtual queues for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney World and Disneyland, and it paused the use of virtual queues on select days for WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure in Disney California Adventure. Now, a virtual queue that has been in use in EPCOT is also going away!
Since it opened in EPCOT’s France pavilion, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has made use of a virtual queue. If you wanted to hop on this brand new ride, you’d have to either snag a spot in the virtual queue during one of the 2 distribution times in the day, or pay to buy an Individual Attraction Selection (or pay-per-ride selection) to skip the line.
But soon the way you ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be CHANGING!
Virtual Queue Entrance when it’s GO TIME!
Earlier today, Disney announced that guests will be able to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT’s France Pavilion through a regular standby queue (instead of the virtual queue) starting January 10th, 2022.

Disney notes that with this change, they’ll be ending the use of the virtual queue for this ride “for now.” Disney has shared that virtual queues “continue to be helpful with the launch of popular attractions” so they may use it again from time to time for select attractions.
Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app before and during your trip to see what virtual queues are in place in Disney World, if any.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
In addition to using the standby line starting on January 10th, guests will continue to be able to purchase an Individual Attraction Selection (pay-per-ride selection) for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure as well, if they want to pay to skip the lines.

If you’ve been hoping to get on this ride but haven’t been able to get a spot in the virtual queue, or are just wanting to ride it without having to worry about the virtual queue, soon you’ll be able to do just that by using the Standby Line!

Will the attraction still run during extra hours for deluxe resort guests evenings?
Mark, it is still listed for Extended Evening Hours on the Disney World website.
Any idea on if standby will be available during the early park hours?
Queue, what a joke. Last month My wife and two Grandsons and I got into the Queue at 7am from our French Quarter Hotel room. At 8am I was given a boarding group I also purchases the Lightning per ride ticket at $8.00 per person. We went to the ride at the appointed time for the pay line. 3:05 pm. We go into the ride right up to the point where we were standing between the metal rails waiting to board. BREAK DOWN, Ride closed. Everyone out. Cast members scanned our bands and we were told we could come back ANYTINE to reboard the ride. We went to Dinner at Coral Reef. Yep across the whole park. While seated for Dinner we got our 15 minute notice for the Queue. Not going to make it back in 15 minutes and we had not finished dinner. But we still had the ANYTINE Lightning paid pass. After Dinner we went back and got in line. This time we made it onto the ride. We started off, went 30 feet and YEP broke again, 30 minutes later we were off and back out with the lightning pass again restored to our Magic bands. Problem is the ride NEVER came up again. Oh and did you read the fine print. NO REFUNDS. I made my last trip to Disney World last month. This was just one of the many problems we encountered. And those restricted numbers for Covid. Another joke, The crowds were the largest I have EVER SEEN at Disney World. Pay more get less. THats the new Disney Moto

It sounds like again they want more money. People will have to pay the individual ride price or wait hours. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to pay to ride.
The standby lines will have 90-120 minute wait times (or longer) which will force a lot of people to pay for Genie+ or force people to pay $9.00 per person to skip the standby line for this one ride
