Not too long ago, Disney World debuted its newest ride, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.
The ride is part of an addition to the France Pavilion, and from its opening day, guests had to obtain boarding passes for a virtual queue to ride it. However, we recently learned that the ride would soon go to a standby-only queue, and the day is now here. Today is the first day of Remy’s having a regular line, so come with us to check out the new process!
Okay, so technically, Remy’s isn’t standby ONLY because you can also pay to skip the standby line and pay for an Individual Attraction Selection through Disney Genie to use the Lightning Lane. Since today is the first time guests can experience the ride during regular hours (Remy’s has also been available with a regular standby line during Extended Evening Hours) without buying a Lightning Lane or getting a boarding pass, we went over to EPCOT to see how the new process is affecting the ride.
We rope dropped the park, so we got to EPCOT before it opened and there were already a good amount of people being held toward the front of the park, waiting to get to the attractions.
Once we were allowed to enter all of the park, we headed straight back to the France pavilion. There was a Cast Member helping direct people toward the line.
And, the line for Remy’s was already stretched back toward World Traveler at the International Gateway!
But, the line was moving!

Everyone seemed to have the same idea as us to rope drop the ride! Remy’s was available during Early Theme Park Entry for Disney hotel guests, so that could be why the line was already long when we got inside!
Even though we were back pretty far in line, the wait time said it was a 70 minute wait around 10:15AM.
Once we got closer to the France pavilion, we noticed the line then started at the bridge, instead of back by World Traveler.
We got closer and closer to actually entering the new part of the pavilion where the ride is.
Once inside the new part of the pavilion, we queued up on the left.
There sure were a lot of people waiting to go on the ride!
We finally got inside the actual queuing area.
And, around 10:30AM, the wait time was showing at 90 minutes.
But, as we moved closer to the entrance of the building, the wait time went down to 60 minutes.
It took us around an hour to get inside the actual building.
And, after waiting inside for a little, we finally got on the ride! So, it took us about 75 minutes from getting in line to boarding the ride.
When we got out of the ride, the line now started toward the actual entrance to the ride instead of all the way back on the bridge. But, the wait time was still at 60 minutes.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on lines at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, so stay tuned for more updates!

Not worth the wait

Hope things calm down somewhat by my next trip in May.
Staying at BCV I will pretty much just roll out of bed and I’ll be there. But I will not be interested in dealing with a huge line. I can wait a couple years….
