Price increases happen pretty frequently in Disney World.
While using the phrase “price increase” may make you think of theme park tickets or hotel rooms, it’s not always that massive. We’ve often seen small price increases at restaurants or on popular merchandise items. And today, a famous snack got a price increase in Disney World!
Perhaps the most iconic snack you can get at Disney World is the famous Dole Whip, available at a variety of locations around the parks and even at some hotels and Disney Springs. You can order it in several different flavors and served multiple ways, but the next time that you purchase this snack, you might be paying a little bit extra.
Previously, you could order a Dole Whip Float from Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom for $5.99 and a Dole Whip Cup for $4.99. Now, both of those prices have gone up by $1, with floats at $6.99 and cups at $5.99.
However, it seems that the prices haven’t hit everywhere yet. Over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you can still order the cups and floats for their cheaper prices, according to the online menu for Pineapple Lanai. We’re not sure how long this will last before the price increase is matched, so if it’s worth it to save the extra dollar, you better hurry!
And you may not even have to leave Magic Kingdom to save just yet — currently, the online menus for Storybook Treats and for Sunshine Tree Terrace have retained their same prices. The same is true for other spots that serve Dole Whip, like Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs and Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Animal Kingdom. However, you may notice price changes around the parks and resorts on some specialty Dole Whip items, including treats for the 50th Anniversary.
Keep in mind that these prices could change at any time — Disney is still updating menus online as we speak, so we’ll keep updating this post as we get more information.
