REVIEW: A NEW 50th Anniversary Dole Whip Float Has Arrived in Disney World

Disney’s 50th Anniversary celebration may have started back on October 1st, but that doesn’t mean the party is over! 2022 is giving us a LOT to look forward to in Disney World, and we’ve been seeing new merchandise, drinks, and snacks pop up all over the Disney parks and resorts lately. From upcoming attractions we’ve been waiting to ride to immersive new hotel experiences, there is SO much to look forward to in Disney World!

Aloha from Aloha Isle!

All this excitement is making us hungry, and luckily we know just the place to go! There’s a NEW treat that just arrived in the Magic Kingdom for Disney’s 50th Anniversary and it’s inspired by a classic Disney attraction!

We ventured over to Aloha Isle in Adventureland for Disney’s NEW 50th Anniversary snack called the Crooning Flower. Sing it with us, “🎶All the birds sing words/And the flowers croon/In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room!🎶”

In the My Disney Experience app and on the menu, the Crooning Flower is pictured with a blue chocolate feather and described as a lime and vanilla soft-serve swirl over pineapple juice for $7.49. You can order it at the counter of Aloha Isle or via Mobile Order.

However, what we got was a bit different! Instead of a blue chocolate feather, we actually got a pink sugar flower. We don’t know if this is just a temporary change or if the blue chocolate feather will be back.

We thought the Crooning Flower looked pretty but we wish they would have done a little more with it. As far as taste, the lime and pineapple juice are really tart, but the vanilla helps balance out the tartness.

A cuter decoration would have been fun, and we aren’t huge fans of the mix of lime and pineapple juice. You really need to like tart flavors to enjoy this float, but if you like lime swirl and pineapple you’ll probably love this.

UPDATE: A few weeks later, the Crooning Flower float changed its look! The blue chocolate feather is finally where it belongs, and all is right with the world (Or at least DISNEY World)!

Now, THIS looks more like it!
