Disney World has been slowly returning to normal lately! The beloved Festival of Fantasy parade recently returned to the Magic Kingdom, and character meet and greets are expected to come back soon, too! Not only that, but Disney has been relaxing its health and safety guidelines in the parks and resorts.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
That said, there are still some experiences and restaurants that have not reopened in Disney World. We’re still waiting for Fantasmic! to return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and dinner shows like The Spirit of Aloha and the Hoop Dee Doo Revue are still on pause. The good news is that Disney just announced that another restaurant is reopening in Disney World SOON! Let’s take a look!
Over in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the signature dining experience at Victoria & Albert’s has been closed since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Now, Disney announced that this popular restaurant is returning in 2022!

Victoria & Albert’s
Disney did not share an official opening date, but we know that the restaurant is coming soon! We’ll keep our eyes out for more information.

This is an award-winning restaurant!
If you’re unfamiliar with Victoria & Albert’s, let us fill you in! This is an award-winning, signature dining restaurant, which means that you can expect some fine dining and high prices.

The food is extremely fancy (and delicious!)
One of the most unique (and exclusive) aspects of Victoria & Albert’s is that the restaurant previously offered the Victoria and Albert’s Chef’s Table, which is a 3-hour dining experience where your party is seated right in the kitchen. Throughout the meal, the chefs interact with guests and help to craft a personalized degustation menu. Disney has not stated if this experience will return when the restaurant reopens, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for good news!

Currently, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is under construction as Disney works on NEW DVC Resort Studio rooms. The rooms will feature soft, elegant Mary Poppins Returns theming and several modern amenities. If Disney’s construction goes according to plan, the rooms could be ready as early as June 20th, 2022.

So glad to hear this. We ate at V & A’s in the queen’s room (I believe it’s called) for our 20th anniversary a few years ago. It is not cheap but, it is worth doing once just to experience it. Amazing meal.
🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻Maybe tea as well?
Please advise when V& A will reopen. We are coming 5/23-25 and celebrating a special birthday on 5/25.
So happy to hear this. Now only if they would change the “age restrictions” at this fine establishment. Discriminating against kids that have a sophisticated pallet is not very “magical” at all. Discouraging the youth of America from fine dining and trying new things is also a disservice to America as a whole. Also a super tacky look for any other diner at WDW who feels entitled to a “kid free zone”. *major eye roll* Guess what… everyone’s money is green.
This is one of my favorite restaurants on Earth… however the age policy needs a severe makeover!
And while I can’t wait to see all the “hate” from others on this topic… remember this, making assumptions about people, only makes YOU look the fool. Get with the times Disney!!
Any word? We are celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary in June and haven’t had any updates. The year is 1/4th over!
