Skipping the standby line for one EPCOT attraction is changing soon in Disney World!
Well, at least for a little while. Since Disney introduced Genie+ and Individual Attraction Selection, guests who pay for the services have been able to bypass the regular line at select attractions. Access to certain rides is available through Genie+, while Individual Attraction Selection grants access to others. And, one EPCOT ride will be changing the way guests skip the line for a limited time!
Beginning on May 31st, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT’s France Pavilion will no longer be a pay-per-ride attraction (at least for a limited time). Instead, it will be available as part of Genie+.
This change is expected to last until August 7th, when Remy’s will go back to being a pay-per-ride attraction. This means that between May 31st and August 7th, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be included in your purchase of Disney Genie+, which is $15 per ticket per day.
We’ve seen changes like this happen in the past, during the holiday season and over Spring Break, so it’s possible that this change is coming ahead of summer crowds. Plus, with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opening on May 27th, there’s a chance that Disney expects crowds to be occupied at that attraction.
Keep in mind that this is a temporary change — and don’t forget to stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news!

Seems odd that this change ends Aug 7. Any info on why the Aug 7 end date? My guess is that this change will become permanent, assuming the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride doesn’t have operating issues.

Great that means I won’t be able to ride it! Because you don’t ever see the rides come up on Disney Genie plus to be able to book it in advance.
