August marks the last days before school starts, back-to-school shopping, soaking in those last few moments of summer vacation, and trips to the pool and beach — you guessed it, Halloween at Disney World. So, crank up your AC, grab a cozy sweater, something pumpkin-spiced, and come along with us to explore the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
We HAD to be at the first party, and we’re so glad you’re coming along with us to scope out all of the spooky parades, characters, treats, snacks, and fireworks that take on a certain not-so-scary vibe.
Over at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, you can find the new Sweet Almond Corn Cake. It’s available for $5.79.
It’s almond vanilla cake dipped in white, orange, and yellow chocolate topped with candy corn. And it is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Party exclusive treat (so you can ONLY get it if you have a ticket to attend one of the parties). Even though this treat is dressed up for a fun night of trick-or-treating, does an almond vanilla cake topped with white chocolate taste the part? Let’s dive in and see!
First of all, we’ve got to say that this thing really looks the part! To the casual bystander, it would definitely appear to be an ear of corn.
As far as flavors and textures go, it’s very similar to a pound cake. It was dense and very moist, but we really enjoyed it! There’s just the right amount of super sweet icing, and the candy corn is a fun bonus if you love it, but easy to pick off if you don’t. Plus, it gets mad bonus points for looks!
We’d definitely order this sweet again, and if you’re heading to the party, we recommend trying it out!
We’ll be covering all of the snacks and treats from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you can find those HERE! So, be sure to follow along with us, to learn what snacks are true Halloween treats and which ones might be tricks in disguise!
As our favorite happy haunt says, “hurry baaaaaack!” 🎃
