Lately, we’ve been seeing a lot of price increases at Disney World, including on food, park tickets, merchandise, and more. And if you look at recent comments by Disney CEO Bob Chapek, it sounds like those price increases won’t be stopping anytime soon.
Sure enough, one Disney World restaurant just got more expensive. It’s already one of the priciest options for dining in the Disney World parks — so is this experience simply TOO expensive now?
There’s nothing more iconically “Disney World” than Cinderella Castle. The beautiful castle at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., is a symbol to many people that they’ve arrived in the parks and their magical Disney vacation can officially begin. So it’s no wonder that the restaurant located inside this castle is not a cheap dining experience.
Cinderella’s Royal Table serves fairly basic food, like beef tenderloin, chicken, pasta, and traditional desserts. What drives the price up is the location (as far as real estate goes, you can’t beat this spot) and the character appearances. It’s not exactly a character dining restaurant right now — at the moment, you can just say a quick hello to Cinderella before you enter the dining room. But before the pandemic closures, Cinderella and other princesses would walk around to meet guests.
With the characters not really a part of the experience at the moment, some may find it hard to justify the high price tag at this restaurant. That will be even more true now that some price increases have hit this spot.
Breakfast was previously $42 for adults and $27 for kids. Now, this meal will cost $45 per adult (a $3 increase) and $29 per child (ages 9 and younger; a $2 increase).
Lunch and dinner previously cost $62 for adults and $37 for kids. Now, these meals will be $67 per adult (a $5 increase) and $39 per child (ages 9 and younger; a $2 increase). Note that all of the meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are pre-fixe pricing, meaning you’ll pay the set price and choose an entrée and drink (for breakfast) or an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and drink (for lunch and dinner).
On Disney’s website, the previous lunch and dinner prices are still showing up on the menu (over the entrée sections)…
…but at the top of the page, the new prices are listed. It’s likely that Disney simply forgot to remove the old prices when they updated this webpage.
If you’re looking for more character dining in Magic Kingdom, don’t forget that Winnie the Pooh and his friends have returned to Crystal Palace! This restaurant also saw some major price increases recently, but it’s still not quite as pricey as Cinderella’s Royal Table.
Characters are also returning to ‘Ohana and Cape May Café — we’ll have full reviews of those experiences when the characters return. Stay tuned to DFB for all the latest updates on Disney World news!

If we booked our reservation 50 days ago will we pay the new price when we go in 2 weeks? Just curious. Thank you!

On September 10th we made our reservation for Cinderella’s Royal Table for November 14th. At that time the website listed the old prices, but we were charged these new prices.

I guess for an appetizer, entree, dessert, and drink,,,,its not too over the top yet, but that doesn’t include tax and tip…so yeah these places are just getting less and less doable.

Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!

We are booked for Saturday, thinking about cancelling. When I made the reservation it was in the hopes that the princesses would be back. That’s pretty lame that all you can do is wave to Cinderella.
