If you’re going to be at Disney World over November 2nd, 2022, why not take part in an event celebrating Día de los Muertos?
This holiday, also known as Day of the Dead, originated in Mexico but is widely celebrated outside of the country as well. It’s a day for people to remember those they’ve lost as well as celebrate their lives. The festivities, which you may be familiar with from Disney’s animated film Coco, include traditions like building altars or ofrendas to ancestors, creating those famous sugar skulls, and lots and lots of food! Now, a Disney Springs spot is joining in on the celebration.
On November 2nd, you can take part in some of the holiday’s traditions by heading over to Disney Springs and visiting Frontera Cocina, a contemporary Mexican restaurant. Frontera is well-known for dishes like their Carnitas, Queso Fundido, and Shrimp Mojo de Ajo. For Día de los Muertos, they are hosting a special event where diners can enjoy some of their delicious foods while learning from their tequila experts!
During this event, you’ll be able to snack on authentic Mexican dishes with a twist while sampling Frontera’s variety of agave-based alcohols. By the end of this event, you just might be a tequila and mezcal expert yourself!
The event will begin at 6:30PM, but you will need to reserve a spot to be able to take part in the festivities. On the post from Frontera’s official Instagram account, they requested for interested guests to send an email to [email protected] to make your reservation. Seating is limited, so we recommend saving your spot as soon as possible!
