Don’t Sleep on This Simple Dessert in Disney Springs!

Disney Springs is one of our favorite places for so many reasons — there are plenty of dining options that fit almost any need, and we love being able to grab the latest merchandise too.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat while you’re strolling through the Springs, you could stop by Gideon’s Bakehouse, Ghirardelli, or Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, but if those classic Disney desserts are what you’re after — Sunshine Churros might be the place to be. We recently stopped by to check out a NEW churro flavor on the menu and are sharing our thoughts below!

We recently saw that there was a NEW churro flavor available at Sunshine Churro in Disney Springs — their Strawberry Cheesecake Churro has been replaced with a Strawberry Shortcake Churro!

Apparently, one of the Cheesecake Churro ingredients has been discontinued, so instead we now have a churro topped with strawberry sauce and covered in powdered sugar for $7.95. Of course, we had to check it out.

A warm churro, powdered sugar, and strawberry sauce? Yes, please. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed this. It was super simple, but the churro was warm and the strawberry sauce tasted fresh — not artificial.

Strawberry Shortcake Churro from Sunshine Churros

The powdered sugar added an extra bit of sweetness, and altogether this was a really solid snack. For $7.95, we don’t think this is too bad of a deal as it’s a pretty large churro and could definitely be shared! It was pretty messy, though, so if you don’t want to have strawberry sauce and powdered sugar all over your hands while you’re walking around Disney Springs — this might not be the best option for you.
