Cast Member Previews To Be Held for TRON Lightcycle Run in Disney World

The news we’ve been waiting AGES for has finally arrived!

TRON Lightcycle Run will open in Magic Kingdom on April 4th, 2023! Disney recently shared the news and we are SO excited to eventually be able to experience this attraction. But, a select group of people will get to experience it first — could it be YOU?

Well, it sure could if you’re a Disney World Cast Member! Those who work at the Most Magical Place on Earth will get the chance to preview TRON Lightcycle Run before it’s officially open!

Cast Member previews for TRON Lightcycle / Run are currently taking place between February 6th and March 3rd. Eligible Cast Members could register for previews starting on January 30th.

Disney usually hosts special previews of new attractions for select groups of people, including Cast Members, Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club Members. This time around, all three will get to ride TRON before regular park guests.

2/16/2023 UPDATE: Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club member previews, AND the D23 TRON events have all REACHED CAPACITY/SOLD OUT.

TRON Lightcycle Run picks up after the end of TRON: Legacy, where Kevin’s son, Sam Flynn, opens a second gateway into a digital realm called the Grid. The first of these portals he created is found at Shanghai Disneyland with the original TRON Lightcycle Power Run.

Once you’re in the queue at Magic Kingdom, you’ll feel as if you’re digitized and transported to the Grid for a special Lightcycle race.
