It’s happening, people!!!
IMPORTANT UPDATE, 2/16/23: The Annual Passholder previews have REACHED CAPACITY.
TRON Lightcycle Run will open in Magic Kingdom on April 4th, 2023! Disney shared the news and we can’t wait to be able to experience this attraction. But, Disney is holding TRON Lightcycle Run previews for select guests and we’ve got all the details.
Disney announced that Disney World Annual Passholders are able to preview TRON Lightcycle Run BEFORE it officially opens to the public!
Disney usually hosts special previews of new attractions for select groups of people, including Annual Passholders, Cast Members, and Disney Vacation Club Members. This time around, all three will get to ride TRON before regular park guests.
Disney World Annual Passholders should be on the lookout for an email sent to them on February 16th with details and a link to make their TRON preview registrations! On February 16th, the registration link for TRON Lightcycle / Run Annual Passholder previews went LIVE early in the morning. You can click HERE to get started on the registration process.
Disney has noted that Annual Passholders will be able to “register yourself and up to 5 other Annual Passholders from your Family & Friends list within your My Disney Experience account who have opted to share “All My Plans” with you (subject to availability).”
IMPORTANT UPDATE, 2/16/23: The Annual Passholder previews have REACHED CAPACITY.
TRON Lightcycle Run picks up after the end of TRON: Legacy, where Kevin’s son, Sam Flynn, opens a second gateway into a digital realm called the Grid. The first of these portals he created is found at Shanghai Disneyland with the original TRON Lightcycle Power Run.
Once you’re in the queue at Magic Kingdom, you’ll feel as if you’re digitized and transported to the Grid for a special Lightcycle race.
We’ll continue to look for more news about the opening of TRON Lightcycle Run, so make sure you stay tuned to DFB for more!

Yes we are annual pass holders and DVC
How are there any annual pass holders other than the FL resident pixie dust pass?
When are they going to start with annual passes again for everyone?
We bought Universal annual passes for Christmas and truthfully, after 50 years of WDW, it’s not Walt’s WDW. I Dont know if I will ever return.
We are WDW annual passholders, and by some kind of Disney magic are already planning on being at the parks the week of March 11-19th, so hopefully our window will overlap with the AP preview for Tron. We just missed AP previews for Guardians last year – maybe this time we’ll be lucky!
All the different kinds of AP holders were allowed to renew their passes throughout the pandemic and post-pandemic period. We got our first passes in the fall of 2019. When WDW closed for several months in 2020, they allowed us to cancel with refunds for the unused portions, then renew later on after they reopened. Which we did later in 2021. And we just renewed again for 2022-2023 a couple months ago.
Yes, we are annual passholders. We live in Germany and tty to come as often as possible. We will be there in January and hopefully for the AP opening of Tron, maybe in March.
What if the pass holder previews are during spring break and we are blacked out .
When Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind was offering Passholder Previews, it wasn’t a requirement to have a park pass on that date as long as you had a preview time so I’m thinking TRON will be the same, but we will post more information as we receive it.
Yes we are passholders again this year. Since we just purchased them on Feb 16, we missed the hour period to tryto get a chance on TRON. I am so hoping that they offer at least one more opportunity to join a group so we have a chance.
