Things are changing in Magic Kingdom!
The Walt Disney World Railroad is back, TRON Lightcycle / Run is just weeks away from its official opening, Splash Mountain has CLOSED to become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and other updates are underway. But another massive change is coming to one of this park’s most popular restaurants and it’ll bring some price adjustments with it.
Since its reopening post the COVID-19 closures, Cinderella’s Royal Table has only featured modified character dining. In the past, we’ve seen Cinderella walk around part of the inside of the dining room, but now she conducts a meet-and-greet before your meal and doesn’t appear as you eat.
All of that will be changing, however, on February 28th, when characters finally make their RETURN to Cinderella’s Royal Table!
But with the return of characters will come something else…price increases. If you visit the Disney World website for cinderella’s Royal Table and look at the menu tabs, they indicate that “Characters will return on February 28, 2023 and pricing will be updated to reflect these changes closer to this date.”
Though Disney only says “pricing will be updated,” we expect that update will be an increase (not a decrease).
We’ve seen this done in the past at other Disney World restaurants, where the return of characters has signaled a significant price increase. Here are some of the jumps we’ve seen:
- Chef Mickey’s: Breakfast — Was $25/adult and $14/kid without characters, jumped to $42/adult and $27/kid when characters returned
- Crystal Palace: Lunch/Dinner — Was $39/adult and $23/kid without characters, jumped to $59/adult and $38/kid when characters returned
- Cape May Cafe Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast — Was $25/adult and $14/kid without characters, jumped to $45/adult and $29/kid with characters
These are the current Cinderella’s Royal Table prices:
- Breakfast: $45/adult and $29/kid
- Lunch: $67/adult and $39/kid
- Dinner: $67/adult and $39/kid
Most of the changes at the other restaurants (with the return of characters) resulted in an increase of $17-$20 per adult and $13-$15 per kid. Considering the fact that Cinderella’s Royal Table is ALREADY a very pricey experience, the increase here may not be as significant, but exact details haven’t been shared yet. It’ll be interesting to see just how much further in price Disney pushes things at this spot.
We’ll keep an eye out for more news about this and let you know what we find!

The prices are high enough already. Paid over $120 for one adult and one child at Akershus. The child didn’t eat which I expected and you weren’t even finished with one course of the meal and they were shoving the other food onto the table.
