A fan-favorite nighttime show is now BACK in Disney World!
March 31st was the final day of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. With the celebration ending, we’ve seen lots of themed items swapped out over the past few days, including snacks, merchandise, and decorations. But one of the biggest changes is the switch-up of the nighttime shows at both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.
As part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, Magic Kingdom debuted the brand-new fireworks show Disney Enchantment in 2021. In addition to the fireworks, the show also featured immersive projection effects down Main Street, U.S.A., from Cinderella Castle for the first time.
But with the 50th Celebration ending, Disney Enchantment had its final performance on Sunday, April 2nd. And as of this evening (April 3rd), Happily Ever After has officially returned to Magic Kingdom!

The crowds certainly came out to celebrate the return of this fan-favorite show. People were claiming their viewing spots more than two hours before the show started!
If you want to get a good view of the show, we’d recommend arriving well before the show begins. You can always bring a snack to enjoy while you wait for the show to start!
3 Tricks to Getting the BEST View of Happily Ever After Fireworks in Magic Kingdom
We got to see a preview of the show’s return a little while ago. It’s almost the exact same show that many fans remember and love, but there are just a couple of important updates.
First, there are now projections all the way down Main Street. Disney Enchantment was the first fireworks show in Magic Kingdom to introduce these projections, and now Disney has used the technology developed for that show to extend Happily Ever After.
Another update is that MagicBand+ bands have haptics and lights that interact with the show. If you have one of these bands, be sure to wear it to the show.
Other than those changes, most of the show is just like you remember!

The changing of the guard also took place in EPCOT this evening, as Harmonius had its final performance last night, and the EPCOT Forever nighttime spectacular has now returned for a limited time. The EPCOT Forever show will be replaced with a NEW 100th anniversary show later this year.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more changes around all of the Disney World parks, so stay tuned to DFB to keep up with all of the major Disney news.

Wishes is the real fan favorite. Bring back Wishes and update it with enhanced visuals that weren’t available when it was created. The music, storyline and narration are the benchmark that Happily can never live up to.

Todd’s right, Wishes is where it’s at. I honestly get misty just thinking about it. I’d love to see it with modernized visuals!
