If you’ve ever planned a trip to Disney World, you might understand that it’s more expensive to go on some days than on others.
Hotel rates will and do fluctuate during certain times of the year, Genie+ prices go up, and, yes, even park tickets could cost you more. Now we know a LOT of you are planning your 2024 Disney World trip, so we’re breaking down the most expensive days to travel there.
So should you avoid these days in Disney World? Well, that depends. If you’re on a budget, we’d probably say “yes,” because you could save a LOT of money by going on cheaper days. However, we also understand that sometimes our schedules just aren’t flexible enough to travel on certain days, so if you HAVE to go to Disney World when it’s more expensive, just be aware of that.
Here are the most expensive days to travel to Disney World in 2024, based on what we saw in 2023. This list is based on ticket prices alone, but hotel rates and Genie+ could also be more expensive during these times when tickets are more in demand.
February
On February 16th-February 24th, park tickets are $164, which is UP from what they cost the same time in the year before (they ranged from $149+ to $159+ in 2023). Note that the EPCOT Festival of the Arts ended on February 20th in 2023.
Also, the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend starts on February 22nd, 2024. This event brings more demand to the parks, which can attribute to higher ticket costs.
March
Ticket prices for March 29th-31st are also $164+, which is higher than those dates for 2023 (price ranges for a year ago were from $144+ to $15+). The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing by this time.
However, this is also the beginning of the busy Spring Break travel season, which is why it’s likely ticket prices are so high.
April
On April 20th and 21st, ticket prices at Disney World are $164+ — last year, they were priced at around $149 and up. The Spring Break travel season usually lasts through April, so this is still a busy time with more demand in the parks.
If you DO have to travel to Disney World during the Spring Break travel season, you’ll certainly need to be prepared for crowds and surging Genie+ prices.
November
The holiday season officially begins with Thanksgiving weekend, which potentially means that Disney World is the HIGHEST in demand throughout the entire year. We get it — everyone wants to experience the holidays at the Most Magical Place on Earth. But if you’re visiting Disney World on November 24th-30th, expect higher ticket prices: $164+.
In 2023, those ticket prices for November 24th-30th were from $149 up to $159 and up.
December
Again, you’ll have to blame the high demand for the holiday season in Disney World for higher ticket prices. However, the most EXPENSIVE days to visit Disney World in December 2024 are from December 22nd-31st, when tickets are $164+.
Needless to say, these may be the days you want to avoid Disney World, unless you have no other choice. In that case, just make sure you include these higher prices in your budget, as well as understand that a lot of other things in Disney World, such as hotel rates and Genie+, will also likely cost more during that time.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on prices — and everything else — in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Richard Mercer says
You’ll want to avoid higher priced days, not because of the price (the differences are surprisingly small!), but because this is Disney’s way of telling you when it expects bigger crowds.
