A popular Magic Kingdom experience is finally RETURNING — but there’s a catch.

Ferrytale Fireworks
The Ferrytale Fireworks Dessert Cruises have been unavailable for a few months, but they’ll finally be back in July, with cruises available starting on the 12th. However, the cruises are returning with a pretty significant price increase.
Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise is an experience where you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks show from a boat on Seven Seas Lagoon. The cruise experience includes specialty desserts like cupcakes, popcorn, key lime tarts, and more, and there are drinks too (including alcohol for guests ages 21 and older).

This experience closed for refurbishment back in March of this year, but it’s finally returning in mid-July…with a pretty significant price increase.
Before the cruises shut down for refurbishments, ticket prices were $99 for adults and $69 for kids. Now, the cruises will cost $130 for adults and $100 for kids. That’s more than a 30% increase!

It’s not clear from the website whether the price increase is a result of improvements made to the cruise or if the tickets simply cost more now for the same experience.

Right now, it looks like the first cruise back will be on July 12th, and after that, they take place on select nights — primarily Wednesday and Saturday evenings (the same as before the refurbishment).

Cruise time varies based on the evening’s fireworks schedule, with the boat usually setting sail 50 minutes before the fireworks begin. Visit the official Disney World Ferrytale Fireworks Page for schedule information. If you want to book a cruise, you can reserve your spot online at the Walt Disney World website or via the My Disney Experience app.
