I don’t know about you, but dining INSIDE A CASTLE seems like a pretty formal occasion to me!
You have the option of dining in not one, but TWO different castles in Magic Kingdom — at Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest restaurants. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the rules around dining at Be Our Guest!
The restaurant is nestled underneath the mysterious castle that’s home to Beast from “Beauty and the Beast”! Passing through an old gateway to a stone bridge and through wrought-iron gates with six beastly figures along the sides, you are reminded of the story of the Beast’s transformation. The surroundings inside are opulent, with soaring 20-foot ceilings and 18-foot windows.
This table service restaurant serves lunch and dinner, and the menu is prix fixe — meaning you’ll pay one set price for a multi-course meal. Appetizers here include French Onion Soup and Escargot Bourgogne, entree choices include Filet Mignon and Trout Amandine, and for dessert, you can enjoy a Chocolate Tart or Lemon Jam Macaron. Sounds fancy, right?
So you’re probably wondering if there is a dress code to dine at Be Our Guest! And the answer here is no! Although Be Our Guest is considered a Signature Restaurant at Disney World and many of them have dress codes, Be Our Guest is inside a theme park — so Disney expects that guests will be dressed … for the theme park! Shorts, t-shirts and casual clothes will be just fine for dining here.
While this is true of other signature dining restaurants in the theme parks, like Cinderella’s Royal Table, Le Cellier, and the Hollywood Brown Derby, there ARE a couple of restaurants in EPCOT that DO have a dress code. We’ve got more on that here, so don’t be caught off guard!
We have eaten at EVERY restaurant in Magic Kingdom, and we’ve got a video about which ones are the best. You can watch it right here!
