We Figured Out How to Get La Cava del Tequila Margaritas with a Shorter Line in Disney World!

When you want a specific drink in Disney World, EPCOT is typically the place to go.

And if that specific drink is a margarita, you had best make a beeline for the Mexico Pavilion because that’s where you’ll find what you’re looking for. Now, you’ll get your delicious marg, but they tend to come at a price — super long queues. Now imagine our delight when we found that you could get one of the most popular margs from the but from a completely different location!

As we were saying, if you’re on the hunt for a margarita, you’d typically head inside the Mexico Pavilion pyramid at EPCOT, and head straight toward the small but popular bar there — La Cava del Tequila.

It’s located in the marketplace and is known for its drinks and tasty bites…and its incredibly long lines.

We have had instances when Cast Members tell us that the estimated wait time was 45 minutes!

We’re not saying that the margs aren’t worth it, but that there is a better way. Enter Frontera Cocina at Disney Springs.

If you’re looking for Mexican cuisine in Disney Springs, Frontera Cocina is the place you go. Keep an eye out for their seasonal guacamole options, as well as carnitas and soft tacos. Anyway, back to the margaritas.

Here’s the shake up for your marg game: Frontera Cocina is owned by the same company that owns La Cava, and the margarita menu? Well, let’s just say it’s going to look verrryyyyy familiar for La Cava fans! The fan favorite margarita at La Cava is the La Cava Avocado. It has Tromba blanco tequila, melon liqueur, fresh avocado and lime juice and is served frozen, with a hibiscus salt rim.

Now let’s take a looksie at the Frontera Cocina drink menu…

See that “La Cava” margarita? Yesssssss

Yep, there’s the La Cava Avocado on Frontera Cocina’s menu! Now, there’s a slight variation here — a different brand of blanco tequila because they carry different brands, but the taste? Pretty much identical! And the price is the same, too — $17.

Even better? You can get this La Cava Avocado margarita in Disney Spring through the restaurant’s walk-up window — with little or no wait! Now you won’t have to wait for your margarita unless you really, really want to!
