The weather is unpredictable no matter where you live. But in Orlando, Florida (especially Disney World), the weather feels EXTRA hard to predict.
We’ve experienced everything from extreme heat to extreme cold (at least in Florida) and everything in between. However, one weather occurrence you can count on in Disney World is RAIN. Well, it’s recently been VERY rainy and wet in Disney World, and that weather has affected one show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
On February 17th, Cast Members informed us that Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular was being cut a little short due to the rain (which makes sense because those stunt actors can’t work with slippery conditions during those dangerous stunts!).
If you’ve never watched the show, it’s based on some of the most iconic scenes and stunts from the first Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. The final scenes are particularly exciting as Indy and Marion try to stop a Nazi plane from flying the Ark to Berlin. It ends with a narrow escape as the airfield explodes into flames. Disney wasn’t kidding when they said, “Epic.”
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular had to be cut short today due to wet weather conditions, but we still got to see this INCREDIBLE sequence! 🤯 pic.twitter.com/9JUgKmP3DU

Despite the rain, we still got to see the fun boulder scene.
Watch out, Indy!
Half of the second scene was cut from the show, as well as that explosive final scene. Granted, it’s still a fun show, but if you go in expecting the full show on a rainy day, be warned. The final scene of the show was the vehicle flipping over. We did get to see some pyrotechnics, though!
The weather can often affect things in Disney World, and it often will even cause rides to close, as well as shows, parades, and fireworks. You’ll want to keep an eye out for announcements and notifications while you’re in the parks if it’s rainy.
