The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) has been experiencing quite a staff shakeup lately.
Reedy Creek Improvement District
Once the Reedy Creek Improvement District, the CFTOD was taken over by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who quickly appointed his own members to the board. Since then, we’ve seen a mass employee exodus in the district and more recently, some changes to those DeSantis-appointed board members. Now, yet another CFTOD board member is out.
Glen Gilzean isn’t the only Central Florida Tourism Oversight District board member to leave his post recently. According to the Associated Press, board chairman Martin Garcia has parted ways with the CFTOD.

Communications director for DeSantis, Bryan Griffin, sent an email thanking Garcia for “successfully navigating” the transition of the district from the former Reedy Creek to the DeSantis-controlled Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.
Griffin continued that Garcia “developed a new district focused on transparency and the elimination of corporate welfare.”

As of now, it’s unclear whether Garcia left on his own accord or if he was pushed out, and he has not made any statements.

This comes after Glen Gilzean, former District Administrator for the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD), was tapped by DeSantis to step in as interim Orange County Supervisor of Elections.
Gilzean’s position remains empty on the board, but DeSantis has recommended Stephanie Kopelousos for the position. Kopelousos was a top DeSantis adviser who most recently served on his campaign for president. The CFTOD board will need to approve Kopelousos’s appointment before it’s official, but as the board members were appointed by DeSantis, the change is likely to pass.

How about the rest of them leave too and a board made of elected member from the two county and they also over see the new Comcast (Universal) District. They (county elected member)might even know how to do the job
