We don’t gatekeep our favorite Disney World snacks — we want you to enjoy them as much as we do.
From Corn Dog Nuggets with Plastic Cheese to Cheshire Cat Tails to Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookies, we’re going to talk a LOT about these faves. Well, an oldie but goodie snack just returned to Disney World, so we had to grab it to see if it still stacks up — and let you know about it.
The Pecan Caramel Bar has returned to Karamel Küche in EPCOT just in time for National Caramel Day! It’s a Buttery Shortbread topped with a layer of Werther’s Original Caramel and Roasted Salted Pecans for $5.29. Now, this one comes and goes on the menu here, but it’s not new (although we haven’t done a review of it since 2017!).
So we DO talk about the Caramel Butter Bar here A LOT and it’s a favorite, but we like this one even more because it’s got the sweetness PLUS the saltiness from the pecans. The Pecan Caramel Bar is just the perfect combo of sweet and salty. That shortbread, too — y’all, it’s SO soft and buttery.
We won’t lie, though — you’ll want to grab some napkins if you pick this up. It’s a little messy to eat (it IS ooey gooey caramel, after all). The butter bar is also a little crumbly (which is still a good thing, in our book), but it does tend to fall apart.
Overall, this bar is STILL a winner, and we highly recommend you try it if it’s available the next time you visit Karamel Küche — but, really, you can hardly go wrong with any of the treats here, who are we kidding, right?
WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! How do you choose (we don’t want to choose but will blow our budget on Day 1 otherwise)? We’ve got you covered! We have reviewed nearly EVERY snack available at Disney World, and we’ve written a series of DFB Guides about them! Check out our DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining + Snacks Bundle for all the details you need to plan your snackin’ and spending. You can even download them to your smartphone – it’ll be like we’re right there with you in the parks!
