NEW ‘Remixed’ Menu Items Are Available at McDonald’s… But There’s a Catch

Yes, we love going to McDonald’s, even when we’re going to Disney World every day. What can we say? Sometimes we just want to check out the latest Happy Meal, or we’re craving those Chicken McNuggets — or even a Krispy Kreme donut. It seems like McDonald’s is adding new menu items all the time, and we’ve got four NEW foods to tell you about.

We’ll just warn you now, though, that these new items are only available at McDonald’s locations in Canada. SO NOT FAIR. Especially when you see what you can get. First, there’s a Chicken Cheeseburger and it’s exactly what you think it is: a cheeseburger with seasoned chicken on it. The best of both worlds? Maybe! So you’ve got a crispy chicken patty made with Canadian-raised seasoned chicken and a 100% Canadian beef patty topped with a slice of melted cheddar cheese, a pickle, onions, ketchup, and mustard on a toasted bun.

You can also now get a Sweet Chili Junior Chicken made with Canadian-raised crispy seasoned chicken, topped with shredded lettuce, sweet chili sauce, and mayo-style sauce, on a toasty bun. Okay, that sounds REALLY good, too.

This might be a little over the top, but we are HERE for it. It’s the Surf ‘N Turf Burger, made with two 100% Canadian beef patties AND a crispy Filet-O-Fish patty made with 100% Alaska Pollock, topped with two slices of Cheddar cheese, tangy pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard on a toasty bun. That is SO much, and yet…we WANT IT.

In addition to these three sandwiches, there’s a new dessert, too, the Apple Pie McFlurry. Y’all, get this — it’s made with pieces of McDonald’s Baked Apple Pie and Vanilla Soft Serve swirled with caramel sauce. We need this to become available EVERYWHERE, McDonald’s, please?

If you haven’t figured it out yet, the idea is “remix,” so McDonald’s has remixed some of its popular items to create new ones. SO fun. If you happen to live in Canada, head on over to your local McDonald’s and get in on these tasty remixes.
