The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is one of our favorite times of the year!
With lots of specialty entertainment, merch, and of course FOOD, we get excited when the time rolls around for the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival each year. With this year’s event around the corner, let’s take a look at what we know so far!
First off, let’s start with when the festival takes place! The dates for the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival have not yet been announced, but the dates for last year’s event were released on April 12th, 2023, so we expect that this year’s dates will likely be announced soon!
The festival can vary in length so we won’t know exactly how long it will run until the announcement for 2024 is made. But the dates for last year were July 27th through November 18th, 2023, so the start and end dates will probably fall roughly around those times this year as well.
We’ve also got a sneak peek at some of the Food & Wine Festival entertainment! We saw that Sheila E., a professional percussionist, singer, and songwriter who has performed at the festival’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series in the past included Orlando, FL, at Walt Disney World on her list of tour dates for this year on September 20th and 21st. With that in mind, it looks like we can expect the Eat to the Beat Concert Series to return this year!
We also have a new venue to look forward to! CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza are scheduled to open on June 10th, 2024 in EPCOT. This new addition is located in EPCOT’s World Celebration and will bring EPCOT International Festivals “to the center of Walt Disney World,” according to Disney.
CommuniCore Plaza is an outdoor space where guests can relax and experience festival offerings. There is also an area that can host large-scale concerts or an intimate performance that extends into the gardens nearby.
CommuniCore Hall is an indoor space that will be the first fully-purpose-built structure in festival programming, designed with flexibility in mind. It can host a wide variety of experiences with food, art, live music, and more. This area will be open year-round — not just during festivals — and it will be a place to take in some air conditioning and relax. Since these new spaces are expected to open in June, it seems that they’ll be in use for the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival!
We’re still waiting on more official announcements about this year from Disney, but we expect that staples from recent Food & Wine Festivals like Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak and Emile’s Fromage Montage will probably be back again.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be the Food & Wine Festival without lots of awesome food and drinks to try out! We’re keeping our eyes peeled for an official announcement about the food booths and full menus for this year’s festival, and we’ll update you as soon as they’re released.
Based on timing from previous years, we expect announcements about the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival to start rolling in SOON, so stay tuned to DFB for all the latest info!

Are you planning to visit the Food & Wine Festival this year? Let us know in the comments!
We will be there during the food and wine festival, and have the dining plan. I know in the past, you could trade in a counter meal voucher for three snack vouchers instead to use at some of the food booths. But I heard a rumor they’re not allowing that this year. Do you know if that’s confirmed?
Hi Gail. Unfortunately, that is true. You can no longer trade in the quick service credit for three snack vouchers.
