Happy Halloween, DFB friends!
This is one of our favorite times of year to be in Disney World. The spooky — and ADORABLE — Halloween decorations are up in Magic Kingdom. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is underway (but completely sold out for the year). Spooky season is the BEST. But the BEST part of spooky season isn’t the decor and parties…oh, no, the best part is THE SNACKS (you knew we’d say that, didn’t you?). Now, even the crêpes in EPCOT are jumping on the Halloween train.
If you’ve ever visited the France Pavilion in EPCOT, you may have also visited La Crêperie de Paris where you can get savory and sweet crêpes. Well, if you plan on eating there right now, you can order dessert crêpes with a spooky twist. You can order ANY of the dessert crêpes and request that it be spooky. Fun, right? So you’ll get a black crepe with a “bloody” drizzle, as well as some orange frosting with a pumpkin in it.
If you need suggestions for a dessert crêpe, our favorites are the Gourmande Crêpe made with house-made hazelnut chocolate spread and whipped cream. You can’t go wrong with what is basically a classic Nutella crêpe.
Now, we’re not sure if this is also available at Crêpes À Emporter at La Crêperie de Paris, the restaurant’s quick service window, but all we’re saying is that it can’t hurt to ask.
Don’t forget you can also now get Pumpkin Ice Cream at the nearby L’Artisan des Glaces if you want to continue with the Halloween vibes. Just a warning, though — we feel like the quality of the ice cream here has gone a little downhill recently, but it could be due to a freezer or storage problem (we’re hopeful it can be fixed).
So Happy Halloween. We’ve only got about a month left of spooky season before everything turns red and green and into peppermint flavors! Enjoy it while you can.
