We’ve celebrated Halloween; now we’re gearing up for Thanksgiving, then Christmas. And after that, we’ll be ringing in the New Year!
It might seem wild that we’re already talking about New Year’s, but in a little under two months, it will officially be 2025! There are lots of ways to celebrate this exciting event, but Tokyo Disney has lots of fun prepared for its guests.
At Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, a special New Year’s event will take place from January 1st through January 13th, 2025! “New Year’s Greeting” will be an exciting entertainment event with Mickey Mouse and friends. The characters will be dressed in traditional Japanese attire and will greet you to celebrate the new year.
New Year’s Greeting will take place along the Parade Route at Tokyo Disneyland and at Mediterranean Harbor in Tokyo DisneySea. It will last about 10 minutes with several performers and characters.
You’ll be able to see traditional New Year’s kadomatsu decorations around the park entrances, plus special merchandise and food items will be available themed to an “elegant and splendid new year.” The New Year’s merchandise will begin being sold on December 2nd and will include plushes, figurines, pins, chopstick sets, home decor, and more with traditional Japanese inspiration.
You’ll also see plushes of Disney characters dressed up as snakes starting on November 14th for the Chinese Zodiac animal of 2025.
Starting December 26th, you’ll see New Year’s menu items starting to pop up at the parks and hotels around Tokyo Disney. Items will include traditional Japanese New Year’s soup, Kinako Mousse, Milk Jelly, mochi, and so much more!
There will be so much New Year’s celebrating going on around the Tokyo Disney Resort starting in November and going through January 13th. From new merchandise and food dropping in November and December to the New Year’s Greetings celebration in January, you won’t want to miss this exciting time at Tokyo Disney!
Tokyo DisneySea is home to the new Fantasy Springs, where you can enjoy attractions, shops, and restaurants themed to Peter Pan, Frozen, and Tangled! It’s a wonderful new addition to the resort, plus there’s a new hotel with direct access to the park. Start planning your New Year’s trip to Tokyo Disney Resort now!
