Every once in a while, Disney World releases a menu item that leaves us speechless in the best way. Disney is constantly making changes to their menus around the parks and hotels, which can really be confusing when you’re trying to get the best value for your Disney Dining Plan credits you’ve already spent a ton of money on. Now, we’re letting you in on one of the best kept snack secrets you’ll find at Disney World.

Not all Disney World snacks are created equal and some of the snacks that are offered on the Disney Dining Plan for use as a snack credit are downright criminal. We’ve scoured Disney World’s parks and hotels for the BEST use of your Disney Dining Plan snack entitlements and you’re walking right past one of our favorites!

We recently visited Disney’s Riviera Resort which is either a bus ride or a short Skyliner ride away from most of Disney World’s other parks and hotels. This hotel is exquisite and while it’s already home to great food and even better drinks, you’re sleeping on one of the best uses of your DDP snack credits found here!

Head over to Bar Riva Pool Bar and Grill if you’re up for the challenge! This cozy, yet fancy pool bar sits just adjacent to the Riviera’s main pool, the Beau Soleil Pool, and neighbors the resident quick-service restaurant, Primo Piatto.

All you’ll need to do is walk right up and find seating at either the restaurant’s expansive bar or tables (there are even a few booth seats towards the back)! Once you’ve been seated, a server will come around to present you with a menu to look over and make your selection. If you’re looking to grab the snack we’re raving about you’re looking for the Riviera Cookie Skillet.

This sweet treat is served warm and gooey with all the best parts of what you envision of a soft and melty cookie in a skillet topped with pistachio gelato. If you’re using your DDP snack credits, you’ll just want to scan your Magicband+ or room key when you’re ready to pay for it. We’re BIG fans of this dessert — so much so that we’ve dubbed it the “pizookie.” Yes, like the one at BJ’s Restaurant! The last time we were here we devoured this thing between two people. It’s not terribly large, BUT it’s very rich and filling and after a good meal, it’s just the treat to hit the spot and curb that sweet tooth without leaving you feeling sluggish.

So perfect!

Could we call it perfection in a skillet? ABSOLUTELY! And it’s a crime that we see too many people walk past this bar daily and not stop for one of the best treats Disney World has to offer.
