We love heading to the movies!

AMC Theater Disney Springs
We love grabbing the newest popcorn bucket, enjoying a frozen Coke, and watching the trailers before Nicole Kidman gives her iconic monologue on what it means to go to the movies. It’s something simple we love to do with our weekends but it turns out going to the movies just got more expensive in 2025.
If you haven’t heard, AMC offers a program called AMC Stubs! This program lets you pay monthly for access to multiple movies throughout the week, discounts on merchandise, free refills, and birthday treats for free!

AMC Theaters
Right now, AMC Stubs costs $24.95 per person to see 3 movies a week in all AMC theaters nationwide. For $22.95, you can watch movies in all AMC theaters except for California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York. For $19.95, you can watch movies in all theaters except those previously mentioned and Colorado, Delaware, DC, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington.

Let’s go see a movie!
These prices have been around for quite a while but starting in 2025, prices are about to go up! Starting on May 7th, 2025, AMC Stubs prices are increasing across every category making going to the movies a bit more pricey. The tier list has been expanded from 3 tiers to 5 tiers with each category increasing.

Doesn’t this sound great right now?
The highest tier, giving you access to every theater, is now $27.99. One of the new tiers gives you access to every theater outside of New York and California which will cost you $25.99. The third tier, which was previously $19.95, is now $23.99. The fourth tier, also a new addition, gives you much more limited access but is $19.99. Finally, the newest tier is the most budget-friendly and limited for $14.99. The lowest tier can only work at AMC Classic Theater locations.

What are we seeing?
Along with the price changes, guests can now see up to 4 movies a week. You can also now add a profile picture to your AMC account making check-in at the theaters easier. Finally, AMC has made Stubs accessible to anyone 13 or older so now younger movie fans can join in with their families at the movies.

The seats look comfy!
While we aren’t thrilled to see prices go up anywhere, we are excited to see more options added! We love using our AMC Stubs access as an easy night out that’s prepaid, even if it’s just to see Wicked over and over again. This summer is ramping up to be a big one for movies with films like the Fantastic Four: First Steps heading to the big screen on July 25th, 2025.
