Heads Up! Your EPCOT Drinking Around the World Plans Might Need to Change!

Planning to head to EPCOT to eat and drink around the World Showcase soon? We’ve got an important update to know before you go!

When it comes to a visit to EPCOT, sometimes snagging delicious food and drinks from around the world is higher on the must-do list than even some of the most popular attractions — trust us, we speak from experience! But if you’re currently mapping out all the dining and drinking spots you want to hit on your next trip to the park, we’ve got an update that might shift your plans!

There are a few quintessential EPCOT experiences when drinking around the world. Some of these “rites of passage” include getting a margarita from La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion, trying a fancy drink like the Grand Marnier Orange Slush in the France Pavilion, and snagging a beer from the Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom Pavilion.

But if you’ve got your heart set on a stop at Rose & Crown for a pint during your next trip to EPCOT, beware that your plans might need to shift a bit!

During a recent visit to EPCOT, a Cast Member told us that Rose & Crown is currently unable to serve any draft beer or cider due to a new keg system that is being installed in the pub. They don’t yet know exactly when the new system will be up and running, but the Cast Member we spoke with said they expect it will be about 3 months until draft beers and ciders are back inside the pub.

Fortunately, there are several backup options for enjoying a drink in the UK Pavilion! For one, Rose & Crown has various canned beers and ciders available inside the pub, as well as cocktails.

But if you’ve got your heart set on a draft beverage, you’re not totally out of luck. There currently is a draft beer stand set up in the United Kingdom Pavilion offering several iconic options, including Guinness, Smithwick’s, Harp Lager, and Strongbow Hard Cider.

The outdoor stand gives you the chance to grab a drink on draft, even if you can’t get one inside the pub for the next few months. We’ll continue to be on the lookout for more updates from around Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news!
