This is the one of the BEST things we have seen in Disney World this week! We have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the adorable BDX droids in Disney World, and they have finally arrived! Back in March, Disney announced these Star Wars droids would be making their way to three new locations: Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris — you can already spot them at Disneyland Resort.
After five months of anticipation, you can now see the BDX droids in Disney World! You will find them bopping around in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. When we heard they had made it to Batuu on the East Coast, we knew we had to go find them!
We are happy to report that we did indeed spot them!
@disneyfoodblog Look who we saw in Hollywood Studios today!!! 🥹🤖 We spotted the BDX Droids walking around Galaxy’s Edge!! 🙌🤩 These were first seen on the Disney Wish and at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge, so we’re thrilled to see them in WDW!! These guys are free-roaming robots that can emote, dance, and even throw little robot tantrums. 😂 Red is the leader and a fantastic dancer, Grek is the newest and an absolute sweetheart, and Oskar is an energy-filled goofball who’s always up to something. ❤️💚🧡 You can check the My Disney Experience app to see times for when they’re set to roam around Batuu! 📲⏰ Does anyone else think they’re absolutely adorable… or is it just me? 🥹🥹🥹 #starwars #galaxysedge #hollywoodstudios #disneyworld #disneycharacters #batuu #disneyvibes #disneynews #waltdisneyworld
You can find their appearance times on the My Disney Experience app. Currently, you can find them in three different spots at various times: near Droid Depot, near Millennium, and roaming around TIE Echelon. Although we were told that if it was even misting a little bit they won’t come out, so make sure you keep an eye on the weather if you are hoping to see them!
If you didn’t think they could get any more adorable, they each have a name and a personality! The green droid is named Grek. The red droid is the leader of the group, who also happens to be named Red — a fitting name! Red is a bit on the bossy side. Oskar is the orange droid, and he is just kind of figuring some stuff out.
There is also a blue droid that is named Besh. Currently, he is being recalibrated, so we didn’t catch him out roaming. However, there is a potential for four of them to be out whenever they are all available. While they were out, they even stopped by for a quick chat with Chewie!
One thing we know for sure, the audience was loving the droids. Everyone was laughing as they wandered around, bopping and dancing their way through Galaxy’s Edge.
Right now, you can spot them at 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM, 5 PM, and 6 PM. However, those appearance times can always change and are also dependent on weather. Make sure you check the My Disney Experience app for the most up to date times you might be able to catch the BDX droids out and about! Plus, you will also be able to see the general location they will be appearing.
