You know the old saying, “When one door closes, another one opens.“? Well, there are a whole lot of doors closing over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as the park prepares to debut a new Tropical Americas-themed land, called Pueblo Esperanza. DinoLand U.S.A. is closing in phases as construction kicks off, but that leaves us with an important question: what’s gonna happen to all of our favorite DinoLand snacks?

Buffalo Chicken Chips

If you know us around here, you may know that the Buffalo Chicken Chips served at the Trilo-Bites snack stand are a DFB FAVORITE. As this little snack stand goes extinct, will the chips, too, disappear for good? Disney just quietly confirmed a BUNCH of snack changes on the My Disney Experience website, and we’ve got GOOD NEWS for our fellow chip lovers.

According to Disney’s online menus, we can confirm that some of our favorite snacks and treats will continue to be available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. PHEW!

Trilo-Bites

Let’s start with some changes in the Africa section of the park. The Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery is currently open daily from 8–11 AM, serving items like Breakfast Totchos and an Egg and Bacon Croissant Sandwich. But soon, this spot will once again open for lunch, serving items like the Harambe Chicken Rice Bowl, a plant-based Picadillo Rice Bowl, and a Harissa Chicken Wrap.

Additionally, some of our favorite Trilo-Bites snacks will be relocated when this stand closes on October 20th:

• The Buffalo Chicken Chips will move to Eight Spoon Cafe on Discovery Island
• A variety of flavored DOLE Whip floats will move to Warung Outpost in Asia

You may remember that DinoLand also served ice cream at Dino-Bite Snacks, so if you’re looking for a sweet treat after this spot closes on October 20th, you can visit Tamu Tamu Refreshments and Anandapur Ice Cream Truck. They serve all kinds of fun soft-serve ice cream, floats, and sundaes! We’re hoping the beloved ice cream sandwiches (like the Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich) eventually find a new home in Animal Kingdom, too. We’ll be stalking the menus DAILY for updates, so stay tuned!

Phew! That’s a LOT of menu updates. The good news is that there are still PLENTY of places to grab a snack in Animal Kingdom.
