Disney+ is growing once again. Disney’s Hulu + Live TV business will now include content from FuboTV Inc., thanks to a new deal. The partnership combines Fubo’s business with Disney’s Hulu + Live TV business.

Hulu sign in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
FuboTV Inc. and The Walt Disney Company announced they have closed a transaction to combine Fubo and Hulu + Live TV. This deal creates the sixth-largest Pay TV company in the U.S, with nearly 6 million subscribers in North America. Fubo and Hulu + Live TV customers will now be able to watch over 55,000 live sporting events, along with “entertainment-focused programming offerings.”
This partnership will also add new streaming options for Disney+ customers. Disney confirmed that Fubo and Hulu + Live TV will continue to be available to consumers as separate and distinct services, each offering multiple plan options. For example, Disney explains:
- Hulu + Live TV will continue to be streamed in the Hulu app and offered as part of a bundle with Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN Unlimited
- Fubo will continue to serve viewers in the Fubo app

This transaction gives Disney about 70% interest in the newly combined company, and existing Fubo shareholders hold about 30% interest.

Fubo is a streaming platform that allows customers to watch live television — like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN — without cable TV. This will increase the number of channels Hulu customers can access, providing more options than ever before.

At this time, Disney+ offers several bundle options. You can choose to bundle three streaming services, or just Disney+ and Hulu. Options include:
- Disney+: Movies and TV shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic
- Hulu: On-demand shows and movies, including full seasons of exclusive series, current TV hits, past seasons, movies, Hulu Originals, kids shows, and more
- ESPN:
- ESPN Select: Content from the ESPN+ library — thousands of live sporting events, the complete 30 for 30 library, and on-demand sports content that includes games, news highlights, ESPN Originals, and more
- ESPN Unlimited: Everything included with ESPN Select, plus live access to all of ESPN’s networks and services – including ESPN and ESPN 2 – in addition to ESPN on ABC sporting events

This news also comes shortly after Disney announced some significant price increases across the board. For the base Disney+ plan, the previous price with ads was $10 a month, and it is now going to $12. For an ad-free experience, the previous price was $16 and is going to $19. That’s about a 20% increase for the option with ads and a little less than 19% for the ad-free version. For the Hulu and Disney+ bundle, the ad-supported version is going from $11 to $13, and the ad-free version is staying the same at $20. That’s an 18% increase!

Here are a few more price changes with different Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN bundles:

Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN (with ads) — $17 to $20
Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN (no ads) — $27 to $30
